Chromino is now available for public Beta testing
Image
A new abstract, tile-placement game for the whole family has been added to the Beta pool!!
Chromino is a great fusion of colours and dominoes (I know the community has been asking for that for ages ;) ) and I hope you give it a try.
You can start a new game by clicking Chromino in the games list or by going to: https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=chromino

Unique to this adaptation:
  • Added In this adaptation, is the option to swap the colour palette to something different. This is especially useful for our players with some form of colour-blindness.
  • You also have the option to add symbols to all Chromino tiles, if you find that preferable.
Both these options are available in the game's player preferences, and opens the game up to be enjoyed by many more players :D

Looking forward to your helpful feedback so I can improve the experience for all future players.

Kind regards, and happy board-gaming!

How can we translate "Tol Bright", "Tol Light", "Tol Muted" and "Okabe Ito", if we don't know what they mean? It says in translation headquarter that these refer to game options, but they are not available as game options.

Hi cigma 👋

I don't think they are game options, but rather player preferences. Each player can have a different colour palette selected to suit their liking.
One way to change your preferences is to click the MORE MENU in the top right of the screen during a game and look under the PREFERENCES section.

Concerning the names of the palettes: I think they are just that.. the name of the palettes creator 🎨
I don't think TOL or Okabe Ito can be translated, as those are the artist's names 🤔

You can however translate Bright, Light and Muted to the relevant description in the new language.

Some extra info in case that didn't help: Please give me a shout if that didn't help and I can try and explain better 😅

Thanks, and have a great day 🍻

A new feature has been added thanks to player suggestion: https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=51952

Players will now be able to see what tiles, in their hand, are currently playable.
Playable tiles will shimmer slightly to hint that they can legally be played.

This only affects games when the "Player Assistance" option has been enabled.

Feedback on the feature is welcome 🤗

Have a great week 🍻

A new build with 2 bug fixes has just rolled out 🎉
  • If all players pass in order, when the tile bag is empty, the game will now end and check the standing scores for the winner.
This is to alleviate the problem when players are passing non-stop and effectively causing a deadlocked loop between themselves
  • When a player has played their last tile, only players within the same round that haven't had a chance to play, will get another opportunity.
This means at game end, all players will have received an equal amount of turns.
This is to correct the issue where some players when receiving an extra turn at the final round.
Thanks Dark Nugget, Cheery Dog, and frafa for bringing the problems to my attention 🙇‍♂️

Happy gaming all 🍻🎲
