grammar check

BGA has suddenly started checking my spelling and grammar in chats and making 'helpful' suggestions.

I can't see this listed as a new feature, so it may just be showing up for me because I'm currently playing from a different country.

I don't use a grammar check on my computer, nor does this happen with any other site I visit.

Could we have an option to disable this, please? Not only is the pop-up box of suggested corrections a bit intrusive, but the grammar check's command of grammar is pretty poor, so it's just an annoyance.

This would most likely be your browser, there is no such feature at the BGA website level.

Reading the headline, I thought this would be a good suggestion for the BGA rules texts. Allthough it was a misinterpretation, I like this idea and therefore filled a suggestion report: https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=64455

That is really weird, since it does not happen on a single other website I visit!

Can anyone more tech-y than me suggest what might be triggering it in my browser (Microsoft Edge) only on BGA, and only now I am in the U.S.?

Check your browser settings for Microsoft Editor: https://techtrickz.com/how-to/enable-an ... e-browser/

Thanks for the suggestion, but disabling Microsoft Editor has not stopped the BGA issue for me.

Oh well, I can suck it up if necessary until I go home to Mexico. :)
