Hack suspicion

Hi everyone,

Something weird happened to me. I will probably look like a fool but I have to ask.
Last time I played on BGA, I played with a Russian player. I could not help asking him (politely, and saying nothing against him) if he was aware of the situation in Ukraine (maybe not a briliant idea, I know). He did not reply.
Right afterwards, I began to have suspicious things happening on my PC and my computer has been under the weather ever since (with my antivirus spotting alarming files).
I never had any problem with my PC before that moment.
So I can't help wondering : is it possible to get hacked through BGA? For example, is there a way for a player to know the IP adress of another player?
Or am I just a paranoid fool?

Thanks,

Are you sure it's coming from this game and not from something else?
You can't, but you really did nothing else strange the last days/weeks?

Hi Romain,

Thanks for your reply.
No, I did nothing out of the ordinary and I'm really careful about anything I download and the websites I visit.
I'm not sure my issues involve BGA, I'm trying to find where it came from : the fact that it begun right after my game was a strange coincidence.
But if you confirm a player can't get my IP address or have any other way thourgh BGA to find infos to hack me, tha'ts somewhat reassuring.

It is that. Just a coincidence.

Forget about if it is possible. What are the odds that you happened to be playing with a member of staff at one of the Russian hack farms while they were on their lunch hour, and they took offense at your innocuous comment (which is probably best avoided, given the sites policy), and rather than spend 2 minutes moaning to the overzealous BGA moderators, they risked the wrath of their manager by taking a bunch of work time and resources the dictatorial Russian state has dedicated to furthering its geo-political aims and dedicated those to doing just enough to very mildly inconvenience your computer usage?
