How does my opponent in this one-player game reach 85 points. I especially don't understand the 40 points he receives: must be 12 in my opinion.

I love Trek 12 but the one criticism I have of it is how badly the scoring and specific map rules are explained om BGA.
Every single rule book I just read explains orphan circles for you = -3, orphan circles for your solo mode opponent = +3.
Now clearly it has given the orphan circles as +10 in your case. Is that by choice? Is it a mistake? I don't know.
