1)A lot of Wargamers know the english language
2) The actual translation (more a try of a translation) is a mess . There is a German Boardgame version of Memoir . Why are you not using this information

You can help translate the game into German! Most of the non-english languages are fan-translations for all games on BGA.

The game was moved out to beta just 2 days ago, with a lot of string to translate, so please be patient and as Joe said, you can also contribute since translations are made by community.

Asmodee owns BGA right ?
Asmodee owns DAYS OF WONDER right ?
DAYS OF WONDER is the publisher of MEMOiR44.
So I don t get why the users should translate existing files

I dont follow your reasonning. So what ?
Translation is always made by users on bga, which does not mean that you can't use the official translation if they exists on your official language. But there are many more game strings to translate and also many more languages than just french and german, so that's actually an improvement over just using official translations.
So as i said, if you don't like that, just wait couple more days or wait for official release.

Perhaps because you know absolutely nothing about web developing and BGA... and are 'only' consuming.
M44 on BGA is a great implementation of the game, including quite already all expansions and even users scenarii created with M44 editor.

The fact that Asmodee owns BGA does not mean they pour endless money and manpower on it. The way I understand it is that BGA is more or less an independent entity under the wings of Asmodee (which helps immensely with rights for games to be published on BGA).
Furthermore the App developers are individuals from the community (I might be wrong on an occasional Dev, but I think the majority of them are) and do this in their free time.
And as was said, web/app development in a community environment happens organically and peopke translate games because they want to play them in their own language. Looks to me like M44 was developed originally in French with an added English translation. If you want to improve it, lend a hand. Or wait.

I haven’t experienced it myself, but I think you can create a second BGA account that can be used from the same location as your current account and choose English for that account.
You will thus be able to play Memoir 44 in English, independently of the BGA translation system. This is as long as a Premium account is not required to play Memoir 44.

In M44, There are nearly 2000 parts to be translated... and it's still growing
Developer needs to extract them one by one from original PDF file and transform them in order to be compatible with BGA translation system.
Don't expect developers to repeat this boring phase in other languages: that's not how BGA works, that's not how development works.
It takes also some time for volunteer people to translate them in other languages.

Yes you maybe right that I don t have an idea how many work it costs to do those fantastic implementations. I know one programmer from Yucata and she does this also for free . The programming !!! But I do like the implementations of the BGA much more.
One other idea about the language problem: What about a little flag symbol where you can switch to English from whatever country you come from. Like at the boardgame online shops with the UNION JACK or EN for english. Would this be possible?
