Board Game Arena

When I play in tournaments, my opponents are often a couple of hundred of ELO points below me. It takes just a couple of losses to really impact ELO, of course, and it can take a while making that lost ground up. Does the site want to encourage higher ELO players to enroll in tournaments? If so, is there a way to have a separate ELO for tournament play vs. regular play?

I did find a group where the tournament admin matches players of similar abilities, so I guess I wasn't the only one concerned about this.
