discard a tile

i dont want to play a card but it seems the system is forcing me to.
now, i wont be able to play a card that would win the game for me.
Is there a way to discard a card?

No, only if it is not possible at all to play it, then you can (must) discard it. But if there's any way you can play it, even if you don't want to, you have to play it. That's the rule:
* If a player selects a domino (or is forced
to select a domino) that does not fit into
their kingdom because it violates the 5x5
dimension rule, or it does not match any
available terrain type, it must be discarded
from the game. Points are not earned for
discarded dominoes.
* Dominoes cannot be discarded if they can be
placed in a kingdom using the above rules.

i had about 15 pts lined up, now i cant use them

In the German version of the rules it is possible to discard a tile if you don't want to use it.
