Is table chat a thing?

Pure curiosity question. Relatively new basic member, but a big fan of board games. Was looking for a fun alternative between my monthly board game gatherings. The only disappointment I've had is that nobody I play with seems to use the chat. Very impersonal for one (was hoping for some interaction), but also makes it difficult to play co-op games. Is that just the way BGA has evolved or will I eventually find some like-minded players?

Hello, and yeah I know what you mean. I think a lot of people don't talk much and there's language barriers, depending on where players are from.

Anyway, there's a group I found called Talkative and friendly games. It's a public group for players who like to talk during games. I think there's a better chance you'll find interactive people here. Hope this helps :)

That's cool! Thanks. I joined with friends, and then brought a different friends group over, so many of us chat during games. Never even thought there might be a group for socializers. :D
