Unfair legal remedy

Despite the weird warning that says if my appeal rejected "BGA admins will give a more severe penalty than the initial" - which is against the real life Law even in North Korea - I took the liberty to appeal against the decision. It was 10 days ago...
I checked both e-mails and my BGA account every day but no reply... When I noticed that my moderation page has changed and my original 3 karma penalty raised to 10. So my appeal was reconsidered, I got the promised extra penalty for my rejected appeal, but i was not informed.
As i still not understand the verdict I was thinking to re-send the same appeal, (just to see what run out first your patience or my karma) but i reconsidered and ticked the checkbox says: "I understand and accept moderation."
You won, I bended. But I feel that it was not the fair way of legal remedy.

Good luck and have fun!

Before this gets closed again, I just quickly want to voice a bit of concern about this repeating mention of unresponded appeals.

Fortunately I was never in the situation of wanting to appeal a moderation, so I never experienced the process myself. But I must say, the idea of unresponded tries for appeal is abhorrend. I understand that there are probably terrible things being said in chat sometimes. But I believe that no matter how bad the offense was, there should be at least a note about the decision of the appeal. Let it be at least an automatic "your appeal has been refused"-message.

This is especially relevant in cases of minor misconduct. It's important for closure. Being left with the feeling that nobody ever even looked at it is not ok - even when they said something bad in chat.

No it isn't. Here in Belgium, and probably many other western countries, when you make an appeal(assuming this is court in front of a judge after a "criminal" activity), the trial gets redone, and the punishment can indeed be worse. It's rare, but it does happen once in a while.

Everything said by the author of this post is false.

He just managed to say 2 ugly insults in less than 8 days, so 2 reports that lead to -3 and -10 karma.

Moderators have been really tolerant here, we are more severe in many similar cases.

However, it is explicitely said that this forum is not the right way to make appeal, and in addition you used it to compare BGA mods to dictators. So yes, this time you are going to be moderated again, and this is well deserved.
