Space Station Phoenix is a worker-placement and resource management game set in one of Earth’s possible futures. The players are representatives of the Galactic Council, sent to Earth to build space stations to observe and perhaps interact with humanity.
Players begin the game with nine ships and a station hub. These ships act as action spaces that players use to gather resources, explore the nearby planets, and build their stations. Turns are fast and straightforward; either take ship action or take income.
Many games start players off with a small resource engine which they build up to a bigger one. In Space Station Phoenix, players start with the best production engine they will ever have and proceed to break it down part by part. As the game progresses, their actions get more efficient, but the number of ways to take those actions starts to diminish.
Space Station Phoenix also features deep re-playability with millions of possible starting positions and station parts combinations.

Just completed a game and it was a different though amazing experience.
I have a few questions though?
- Is it possible to have keypresses for the navigation between the ui sections. Like (1 goes to player 1 - 5 goes to diplomacy board and such)
- Will it receive the advanced hubs? or will it be treated like beyond the sun where there the variants are not there?
Still this might be one of my favorites from 2022

- Maybe. I'm reluctant to add a feature such as this because there's not a good way to communicate it to the user, so not many people will use it.
- As with BTS, Rio Grande has chosen to hold back a bit of content here. It's a good thing from where I'm sitting, because the advanced hubs break a lot of rules.

- I can understand the developer experience on adding a keypress for both functionality with BGA system and ux for the user.
- Yeah I saw those advanced hubs they are sooo interesting though, will see them when I get my hands on a physical copy.
Though an amazing job on implementation.

There are a few minor erratas to the rule book:
We have discovered a few minor errors in the first printing of Space Station Phoenix.
(1) In the rulebook, on Page 25, the Red player’s token should be one level higher on the Expedition Diplomacy Track than is shown. This would then match the text description on page 26.
(2) Station Hubs B-6 and B-7 should show that Brown (square) aliens are worth one additional point, not Gold (round) aliens.
(3) Station Sector 111’s food icon should have an orange outline, indicating that a food is received during income if the space above it is occupied.
(4) There are 25 humans included in the game even though the components list only 24. The game requires only 24, so please consider the extra human as a spare if one gets misplaced.

B-6 and B-7 have been updated in the BGA adaptation. 111 has not, but it's a minor display issue, and the behavior is correct. Of course, the rulebook misprint and number of humans in the box have no bearing on the BGA adaptation.
