Problem: Getting matched with players of too low a rank

I don't really understand the matching system. If I'm in too high of a rank to gain anything from a match with someone lower, why are we paired together? There is no incentive for me, except to not lose a massive amount of rank. I'd much rather be working towards a higher goal, than play such a lopsided match, both in incentives and skill.

If you are queueing automatically you can set your ELO preferences at strict as you like. The default is to match against anyone playing in order to find games faster. But you can change it for each game to match against people of / around your level.

For Arena you can restrict only opponents arena level or reputation. It reduces number of games agains too strong or too weak opponents but it is far from perfect.
