I constantly get penalties for not participating in Lucky numbers. When I cancel a game because finding an opponent takes too long, and later I come back, I get a penalty. When a game is over, and I don't close the game all the way in the end (but after the score is shown) I get a penalty for leaving the game. The game was already over!

Why?? I had a perfect score, but now I'm average for.no reason.

On your profile, below the Karma bar in the "Recent penalties" section, you can click the blue link to get a list of the games where you received your penalties.
You received your -20 penalties from abandoning games right in the middle of them, after 17%, 75%, etc. of game progress.

The big full penalty screen you see at times is not necessarily related to your last action on BGA. If you received a penalty in the morning, the fullscreen penalty warning can show up e.g. in the evening after two other games you played successfully.

When you say "I cancel a game because finding an opponent takes too long", do you mean you quit a game in progress? If that's the case, no wonder you get a penalty. If the opponent is overtime, you should expel them, then you can quit without penalty (and they'll get one).
