Newbie question... I can't figure out how to make a public Tzolk'in table so others can come in and crush me.

There are two ways. On the "Play Now" page, either have the three drop down menus set to
[Simple Game] [Real-Time] [Automatic] or
[Simple Game] [Real-Time] [Manual]

[Automatic] is easiest. Just click "Play Now" under the Tzolk'in thumbnail picture. Behind the scenes you will join a queue for a table that has already been created or create a new table if none have already been created. You will queued for games that match the setting you select by clicking the gear symbol beneath your ELO rank next to that game's thumbnail picture.

With [Manual], you will either see "Play Now" under the Tzolk'in thumbnail picture, which means there are no tables waiting for players, or a table icon with a number indicating how many tables have been created that are waiting for more players. Even if there are already tables, you can still create your own table if you don't like the options those tables are set to. If you create your own table you can set all the parameters: number of players, time limits, game variants, level of player who can join, reputation of player who can join, etc. Once things are set to your satisfaction, click the big "Open table to other players" button at the top.
