Target hex ... not a bug, a feature?

I just finished playing at table 283171622 and was going to report a bug, but maybe not. At one point I reduced a 3-figure tank unit to 1 figure, and a target appeared in its hex. A hint? Not sure. Toward the end of the game I did the same to another tank unit, and again the target appeared. And when I fired artillery at it, it rolled 3 dice instead of 2 (it was 4 hexes away, no special card used). What to make of that?

That's why the scenario rules are here, to remind you of some of the special units in play. You can also hover on them and you willl see thé summary cards as well. This is just the normal behavior of this artillery unit

I'm so used to playing this on Days of Wonder online, where many of these rules/features have not been implemented, that I just automatically ignore them. They've got the big guns symbols on DoW too, but ... they do nothing special. How exciting, here it actually works as it's supposed to!
