Tournament settings spontaneously changed - with new arena season?

I’m playing in a Gaia Project tournament (Golden Trophy Gaia Project), which is a 20-game Swiss tournament with 15 days per game, and about halfway through its 300-day length now.

In the latest round of games, the tournament settings suddenly switched from 3 player, small map, choose factions; to 3 player, big map, fixed factions. This is bad for all players. The tournament organiser made no change, so all I can think of is that this is the first game since arena settings reset.

This was raised as a bug report, but the game developers say it is a website-level problem, not a game problem.
/bug?id=67862

Has anyone else had issues with new arena seasons changing ongoing tournament settings?

Also, if there’s any way we can fix this tournament for the next rounds of games that would be great. Thanks.

I don't know about timing of arena-changes, but I was in a tournament where the settings weren't fully respected:

https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=142230

It was set up with "remove 6 gold die face: yes" (as you can see on the tournament page), but in this game, which was part of the tournament, we had the 6 gold die face despite the setting: https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=275344457

You can see that the table options show "remove 6 gold die face: no", so tournament-options haven't been respected.

No idea if it's related in any way...

To confirm, as the tournament organiser - I'm not BGA staff, so I literally can't change a single tournament setting once at least 1 person signs up to it.
