How to leave a game when play is much too slow

Dear BGA,
Currently in a 4-player game of CATAN. It has taken five days and the group is still not through the first round of moves of placing their initial development and road. It is much too slow to be enjoyable. In all games I play, I try to make at least one move per day. I don't want to play the game for the next six months. How do I leave the game and not have it count against my reputation?

Thank you,
Mighty Mac

If any player is out of time, you can expel them, then you can quit.

Or you can propose to abandon. If all players agree, there's no penalty.

The creator of a game gets to choose the time limits. If you create a game, make sure to choose something like "3 moves per day" so the time limits ensure the game moves quickly enough for you. If you're joining tables other people created, pay attention to that setting. Don't join games that say something like "1 move per 2 days" or "1 move per day" because those give people multiple days to make each move.

Once you have joined a game and it starts, you have agreed to the pacing of the game as set by that moves-per-day setting. If you quite while other players have not run out their clocks, your account reputation will be lowered.
