BGA is very happy to propose you to play Libertalia, a game from Paolo Mori, published by Marabunta.

Libertalia is an amazing and original card game. During three campaigns, you have to gather doubloons and booty tiles to become the wealthiest pirate. Each turn, you play one card to try to be the first to choose which share of the booty will be yours. Of course, each card has special powers that completely break this "routine". One thing that make Libertalia original is that everyone start with the same set of cards. That's why you'll have to choose carefully the moment to play each card, and to try to read your opponents' strategies.

Friendship advice: the game is quite different depending on the number of players, and excellent with all configuration. We advise you to try them all :)

BGA would like to send a big "thank you" to Asmodée and Paolo Mori for this adaptation!

the player colors are random at all? or have the best predetermined combinations for a fair play ? (on the 2 or 3 players game )

some post from the BBG forum:

So If you play with the original rules and you are playing with only two players, I think you should definitely pick any pair of colors where the ties are divided 15:15. With 3 to 5 players it's more complicated.

For 3 players, choose red, white and green (or black, blue and yellow).

There are no even combinations for 4 or 5 players.

All you really have to remember is:
Yellow < Red < Blue < Green < Black < Gray and you can figure out everyone's tiebreak value.

This list explains why you MUST play with Red and Black when you play the 2p game.

The table confirms as you would expect, that the six decks have an equal balance of influence across all cards. However, there is an imbalance when it comes to the few cards with suns, where daytime sequence can be critical. The six decks are therefore not equal in this respect (see earlier thread).

Some suns are good to have high influence (e.g. Cards 1 and 2). Some suns are good to have low influence (e.g. Card 14). For some suns, it doesn't really matter (e.g. Card 30). On this basis, I still contest that yellow is the weakest deck. This disadvantage is admittedly small, given the multiple probabilities in play, but is nonetheless real.

Yellow is definitely the weakest color and should be excluded from all but a 6 player game. I tidied up the how to play section on the wiki, correcting/clarifying some rules, improving grammar, fixing typos. Does a moderator have to approve it before it shows up on the game page?
