I cant understand, how can be this possible. There is possibility to choose russian flag as the symbol on avatar, or - if you choose your country as Russia, there will be a russian flag!!! there is another possibility. A russian flag of a free russia, russia that not support the russian terror in ukraine and other countries.

HOW is it possible, that BGA tolerate this symbol of terror - russian flag? Many europian countries has already prohibit even entry of russian citizens into theis countries. In olympia, which represents peaceful sports event, there cant be russian flag!!!

This is just ridiculous!!!

If BGA dont prohibite to use russian flag on its site, it just means for me, that BGA just support terror an give a * about a freedom.

Yeah, understood. demand - suggest....war - agression...little differences in our world of correctness.

If BGA will not boycott Ruzzian players, the least they could to is prohibit the Ruzzian flag from being displayed. The Olympic committee does this quite often with nations that are not adhering to international standards of behavior or are warring on other countries provocatively. Perhaps BGA should take a page from their playbook, not that the Olympic committee is anything to aspire to.
Shame on BGA for doing nothing in regards to Ruzzian aggression.

I think it would be best to stop showing nationality at all. For everyone.

Agree, don't see why it matter anyway, and people can set whatever nationality they want (I have real life friends who set their nationality on here as Niue or Tonga)

Removing a virtual flag on a board game website where players are anonymous seems irrelevant to me.
If you want to do something against that war, donate, send supplies to humanitarian organizations, spread information through dialogue (and not exclusion). You have the right to disagree with BGA choice, but do not forget Asmodee (which owns BGA) has already donated, gathered supplies and offered board games to refugee camps.

Saying the following is excessive if not defamatory.

Do you also wish to ban the US flag for all the wars the USA have started (a lot more than the Russian Federation has, and for provoking the Ukraine war in the first place due to NATO expansion into former Soviet territory)? The Chinese flag for their invasion of Tibet? The Turkish flag for their treatment of Kurds in Syria? The Saudi Arabian flag for their devastating war in Yemen? The French flag for their involvement in Libya which had catastrophic long-term effects? The German flag for our participation in the bombing of Belgrade during the Balkan Wars? The Rwandan flag for the genocide committed in Rwanda some decades ago? Every single flag of every single nation that has done something wrong at some time in history (which is probably all of them)?

Well, if you’d studied history, you’d be aware that it’s absolutely ridiculous to act as if the (provoked) aggressions of one country are worse than the even more frequent aggressions of other countries, so bad as to justify a flag ban, as I said. So, DO you wish to ban ALL flags of countries that were aggressive at some point, or rather none? Oh by the way, what about banning Ukraine’s flag for their bombardment of civilians in Donbass for the last eight years?
