If the initial deal for however many players are playing has no diamonds, you lose quick right?

in BGA it won't happen as the game will reshuffle initial hands with no Diamonds, unless you are playing a solo game with Jesters.

With weird settings, you can find impossible games.
But then it's kinda if you got like a 3 of diamonds in the starting hand, play it to draw 3 and got no other diamond.

But I was fine losing 20% of games on that way since the game wasn't supposed to be played like that.

Remember aces can make you draw one extra card.
