Board Game Arena

Outside of BGA, I've always played Machiavelli with more than 2 people, usually 3-4. However, every time I see the game on an available table, it is always set up for 2 players.

I'm not an expert of the game by any means and play it very casually. With that in mind and for my own clarity, could a seasoned Machiavelli player explain to me why they prefer playing it with only one other person vs a group?

I only just started playing and can't understand why arena is two players. Seems to me the more players the better in that game. It's kinda tedious with only two players. Hoping arena goes to 4 players next season!

Arena formats are decided by the gurus. You can become a guru by playing many games (Arena or not).
