Board Game Arena

I can't recall if it's in every game, but I know for sure it's in Dominion, the "DING DONG!!" every single time your turn comes up - which in games like Dominion can seriously be every 5-10 seconds.

I know I can't be the only one annoyed by it, and I know a lot of people just turn all of their sound off so they don't have to hear it - but wouldn't it be better to just change it to a much more pleasant soft "ding" sound or something?

Sorry if this complaint seems trivial, but after an hour or two of DING DONG! DING DONG! DING DONG! DING DONG! DING DONG! DING DONG! DING DONG! DING DONG! it doesn't seem so trivial any more

Actually, I agree with Shadoglare but I would suggest a different fix.

It should be fairly simple to add a "turn off/on sound" for the website. This way, I will be able to listen to music from my pc while playing (now I just turn the sound of the all computer)...

Actually there is a "mute sound" button. It is the first button on left above the chat input. With it you can get rid of the door bell right now

The problem is that sometimes it doesn't work.
It works while u r playing a game and then when u r going back to main menu it starts again.
Sometimes it doesn't work during the game. i put on the ring button to put it off, the button changes but i can still hear the "dong dong"

Next time it happens i will give u a more specific example
I love "dong dong" except when i'm at phone Don't remove it completely

Well the thing is I *like* being notified when it's my turn - just not in such an obnoxious way!

My wife agrees with your wife, and I agree with you.
A quieter sound would be great. The one of the cards moving is perfect, so something like that would be ideal.

A subtle chime when it's your turn to act, and an alarm sound when it's been your turn for 15-30 seconds but have not acted, is in line with other softwares I've used (thinking of Full Tilt or other poker sties here).

Oh, the mute sound button works all right. But I have to click it again every time I start a new game or refresh the page (F5) which in some games, can be quite often. It is annoying, and it also sounds like a doorbell, so it can actually be confusing for anyone else in the house who might hear it.

I don't mind being notified for my turn either, but it doesn't always go off when my turn comes up, and sometimes it goes off when it's not my turn.

So I'd like either a mute general to the whole site or a better sound effect. Thanks.
