Is there a physical version of this game? Or is this a digital "board" game only?

It's only digital, and only on bga.
I'm not sure it's possible to make a physical version of the game

I had been wondering this too. I feel like in order for it to work you would need some combination of mirrors and lasers, but not entirely sure of how everything would work logistically.

The easiest way I can think of would be up to 4-6 paper printed copies of a certain puzzle, with another bearing the solution to remain hidden, and chess clocks. People take a copy and solve over it, but without ray help.
A slighty more elaborate way would be to use magnetized tokens over a conductive surface and cardboard border cutouts to apply for each puzzle.
The deluxe version would be to have mirrors with a strongly magnetized base (the tokens before just needed to stick, now you need it to get stuck), cardboard strips to slip over the edges for the puzzle and providing a laser pointer to fit on the edges.
Another possibility would be to change the game slighty, having a single deluxe board and the paper copies, by having start colaborative and finishing on a race with whatever remains. You could even just never stop taking turns with the token placement and define a change on the board to be a turn itself.

If you're looking for a physical game that's pretty close to this, check out Orapa Mine / Orapa Space.
