Can I spectate someone else's ongoing game?

Post by Protected »

I've been around for ages but I've never really tried to do this. I've always assumed it would be possible, but to my surprise I can't figure out how to spectate an ongoing game. The functionality is nowhere to be found on the interface. Help?

Hello! There are two main ways.

You can spectate friends' games from your friends list. Normally when you dropdown the friends list there is a speech bubble next to their name. If they are in a live game there will be a "table" icon instead which you can click to go to the game.

2nd way is from visiting someone's profile. Directly under their name will have "Online playing xxxxxxx + 7 turn based games".
You can click either link there to watch the live game or look at any of the turn based games.

Ok, so going from there I see you can spectate by game through https://boardgamearena.com/gameinprogress

Just not sure where the direct link to that page currently is. Thanks!

Or if you want to spectate a game but not a player in particular, you can see ongoing games on the game page.
