Abandon a game should be allowed and give 100% of elo variation to the winners

Hello,
I'm new to this site, which I find great.
I have played Abalone.
When a higher ranked player abandoned against me because I was going to beat him, I was thankful for him to save our time.
When I saw that I got only 1% of the elo variation because according to the platform, only 1% of the game had occurred, and he lost some karma points, I found this strange and disappointing. I don't blame him for quitting the game: it was an easy win for me. I would expect him to keep all his karma, and myself to get 100% of the elo variation.
I guess this wish applies to some games only, not to the games when the invested time and finishing the game are more important than winning/losing.
So, maybe, this feature could be different from one game to another? And for Abalone, it should definitely work differently than right now.
What do you think?
Thank you

they have the concede button for this purpose in 2 player games. It only works though if 50% of the game has been completed...it is on whoever developed the game to determine how game progress is measured.

When you say they "abandoned against me" do you mean they left the game, their timer ran out, and you expelled them?

It would be a terrible idea for the many players that cheart the system by doing ELO boosting with secondary account. Just open a bunch of table and abandon right away to make the primary account gain much ELO.
