World Series of Board Gaming

This new tournament held its 1st edition in Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago, with the 1st place taking home USD 25,000.

You can find more info on their website: https://wsbgvegas.com/.

The event will have a second edition next year. I created a series of practice "tournaments" to help prepare anyone interested in participating or who wants to measure themselves against others.

The practice tournaments will try to simulate as much as possible the conditions likely to face at the WSBG. All matches are "winner takes all," and the rules and options are set the same way during the event.

I'll start each tournament at 16 players max and increase the capacity for the following editions of these fill-ups.

Below I post the links to each of the tournaments:

Gaia Project (This one has a 32 player limit because I created it before this idea came to be)

Patchwork

PD: I left out 7 Wonders because the tournament will include the Leaders Expansion which is not currently available in BGA. If that changes in the future I'll include it.

I'd appreciate any feedback you can provide.

Great idea, although I'd be drawing dead in several of those games, to borrow a term from the World Series of a different game.

Great idea! I see those tourneys recently ended. Will you be creating more? I would like to play in any future tournaments like this.

I liked your idea so much that I created this group! Please feel free to post any future tourneys here. 💙💛
