There is a warning when choosing new game option, that it says it will erase your previous campaign. Can you play multiple campaigns with different people turn based?

I have the same question for real time games. Can I play multiple parralel campaigns with different sets of opponents?

Yes you can play several campaings at the same time, if the group of players is different.
