Rearrangement of the play area

Once a player has more than two active goal cards, the play area shifts to put the objectives below the board, rather than beside it.
Are there plans to change this? I find the side-by-side view to be much better than the rearranged one. In the former, I have all the information at a glance, whereas in the latter, I have to scroll back and forth every turn.
