Due to a maintenance operation, the service will be unavailable on Tuesday December 6th from 09:00 (Paris time). We hope to be able to restore the service after 20 minutes or less, but it may possibly take longer.

You will not be able to access boardgamearena.com during the maintenance. Table creation will also be momentarily suspended 1 hour in advance so that ongoing real-time games are over before starting the maintenance.

If you still have ongoing real-time games 10 minutes before maintenance please change them from real-time to turn-based in order to be able to finish them later: in the top-right sandwich menu click "Switch to turn based", then all players need to accept.

This is an important operation that will allow us to switch to a new main database server.

Maintenance is over. We are watching the service and we'll remove the maintenance warning in a few minutes.

EDIT: all done now. Operation was successful, everything is back to normal.

Don't know what maintenance was done, but it's now super buggy. Difficult to navigate, and it won't let everyone into the games.

As explained in the first post, maintenance was a migration to a new, more powerful, database server. It would have no impact such as you describe. Please provide proper bug reports in https://boardgamearena.com/bugs about the difficulties you encounter.
