Board Game Arena

On each courtship phase, you are allowed to dismiss one guest. The BGA does not give you that option. Why?

You are not allowed to dismiss guests during the courtship phase. You are required to discard one Objective Card.

The symbol in the lower left hand corner of the courtship space on the board indicates you can dismiss a guest. Unless I'm reading that wrong.

That is a symbol for discarding an objective card. The guest dismissal symbol can be seen on the lady of the house's card (down arrow into a basket). Since both are discarding a card, they are similar, but no guest dismissal takes place on a courtship space.

Thanks for clearing that up, Dan. I got out my physical copy of the game and discovered the same thing shortly after my last post. Guess I need to find another way of ridding myself of undesirable society in the game.
