I just played with someone with their phone number in their user name. I thought this wasn’t a big deal, strange but if they want to give their phone number out that’s their prerogative.

However, who’s to say it’s their phone number? It could be their ex girlfriends number, etc.

I didn’t report them because I don’t think it’s a violation, but what do others think of this?

9876543210 is unlikely a phone number, just digits.

I think you should contact the Police and investigate further.

I don’t know what the police are used for where you are, but having a number in your user name online is not something the police in my country would address. Having formerly worked in police services, I can say this with certainty.

You are correct. I am still curious what others think of it was a phone number? To me it’s if his number, that’s his choice. But if it’s someone else’s personal number that’s not cool. What do others think?

Nobody (sane) would actually input their own phone number, this person didn't either. It's not even an existing phone number as the prefix '98' doesn't exist in his country https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telephone ... _in_Poland
So there is no issue.

It's like having usernames like Voriki69 or Voriki1234, meaningless numbers which are easy to memorize, often because the original username 'Voriki' was already taken.

Edit, if you look at usernames which start the same like that one user with the 987654321 at the end, you'll find that's a popular name amongst other Polish users. All with extra suffixes.

Ten digits would make it a phone number with a country code, but according to wiki, 9 and 98 are not valid country codes, so it is not a phone number

ITS NOT A PHONE NUMBER! Look at it again its just the numbers 9 to 0 starting high and ending low.

It's no different to having a username James123456789
