I set up a game using Hot seat.

Player one: Col Rosenberg
Player two: Self (as in myself)

Self (as in "not Col Rosenberg") Conceded the game. The game report shows that Col Rosenberg Wins.
Why does the game (331349679) register count it as a loss? Before the game began, the game Register read; 24 Games • 20 Victories • 83% wins.
After, the game reads: 25 Games • 20 Victories • 82% wins.

I don't need the win. But don't feel I deserve the loss. Doesn't look like points were involved.

I just created a new game, and some strange goings on have been happening. Solo game keeps popping up...the same solo game that had ended earlier.

What kind of craziness is this: A win counts as a loss? Any chance this might get corrected?
I wouldn't recommend playing Solo!

I would recommend ignoring the "win %", as it doesn't make any sense (well, some sense, but not what it says) in multiplayer games (or with training games, as you found out). Concentrate on your ELO score as a progress indicator.

I play to Win, unlike many of the others on this site. All too often I run up against (usually the better players) opponents that don't care about winning the Game, they just care about winning the points (match). Come on Guys, get back into the Game...play to Win! Lots of players don't want to continue playing a game they have already Won...same holds true for the losers...they don't want to continue a game they've already lost. What do they both have in common? they are quitters...quitters are losers.

I play only one game on this site. I am more interested in Win loss ratio. If only things worked the way they say, then there would be no issue.
I did not expect to play a solo game and lose, especially when it clearly indicates I Won.

If you want to know your real level, just play tournaments (OL and IRL) ...

M44 is meant to be played as a game with 2 matches and if a player has no way of winning, I do not care if he concedes and definitely will not berate him as a loser.
I have been playing wargames for 40+ years and M44 is considered a "Beer & Pretzels" game not to too be taken too seriously but enjoyed for what it is
When I want some serious game play there are many other options out there, I am a HUGE Advanced Squad Leader player and have like my friends invested thousands of $ into the game that has a thriving and fanatic game community Tactical level WW2 gaming at its finest IMHO

Don't play to Win - "Ignore the win."
M44 is meant to be played while eating beer and pretzels.
Promote players quitting in the middle of a match.
If a player has no way of winning, be sure to tell him so...encouraging him to quit.

If it's not about winning and it's just about having fun, then why encourage players to quit, right in the middle of the game?
I get it, a player decides to quit while in a tourney game. Friendly game; "winning the match" is not going to be the goal...if in fact what you say is true; "not to be taken too seriously but enjoyed for what it is." I's not about winning the match - It has always been about winning the "Game."

A player will know when he has lost while engaging in a friendly game of ASL. M44 is not that game...one never really knows.

Example: friendly game - Winning player (won the first game) is up 10 medals (two more to win) to your two. Even still - You know you can beat him; you have victory is sight. Doesn't mean a thing to him. In his mind, he's already Won. He's thinking opponent should have given up (quit) 6 turns ago.
When in reality, each of you might have won one game each. Who's the real winner here? The Quitter (that includes the winner) will always be the loser here.

One can say they won the 2nd match if that is important to that player and was probably a good game but the player with the most medals after both matches still wins the game.
An example would be I win the first match 6-1 and the second match I have 3 medals and my opponent has 5 there is no way my opponent will win the game and can concede if he wants "I will never ask for it" and then we go on our way and will fight again.
There are many games and sports where it is honorable to concede Chess being one of them
So BGA allows it in the rules and when you play here you signed up playing knowing the rules so if a player does concede it is his right
so, play on until the last roll if you want and if the other player concedes then that's his option
