How to play "from the front" scenarios with special rules

For exampple, I want to play Manado landings. It has night attack rules which are in the editor but then the specal rules say that once in full daylight, the Japanese player can do a paradrop. Paradrop is also in the editor but I don't think there's any way of translating the "after daylight" rule to BGA.

So that's a specific example but I'm curious about other scenarios as well. Like making the mountains impassable in Escape along Salmchateaux. I'd love to know how to make these scenarios playable on here and I will donate time to the cause if that's possible.

Thanks for your time

Anything that can be flagged in the editor will work here, and you wont be able to flag anything more than that. So impassable moutain are in the editor and work here, but any special rules very specific to a given scenario like the one you gave is not flaggable in the editor and thus wont be playable here.

Though some of the special elements of various rules aren't implemented - for instance that mountains CAN be entered by infantry via a "foothill" - https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44/e ... terrain_30

There's a long list of things that worked/didn't work with the old Steam/DaysofWonder online version. I think we might have to update it for future use here on BGA - because now some elements now work that didn't before.

Hum nope, the "foothill" thing is already correctly implemented here.

Would be less confusing if SFTF/M44 Database scenarios that can be played online we’re separated from the ones that are not playable online

Oh - sorry - couldn't get it to work on one of my maps, but it's been a while since I checked.

EDIT: I just found a good website that has instructions for a lot of stuff in the editor I wasn't aware of so not all the following applies.

OK thanks for the answer. Just to be clear, things such as majority medals, hexes being worth more than one medal, exit hexes for both sides, Tigers, any of the "Actions" such as heroic leader, etc... will not work?

Nope - because you can't "flag them" in the editor. What really confuses me is that some of the "badges" for units work (i.e. Cavalry, Big Guns, etc.) but others don't (Tank destroyers, Machine guns, etc.) - it can be a little confusing to work out what you can use and what you can't.

Majority medals are implemented but not selectable in the editor indeed.
Hexes being worth more than one medals are working though, just use the "count for X" select dropdown (that wasn't working in the Online if i recall correctly).
As for the exit marker, you can select "no/any side" in the editor and these should work as well on BGA.

Tigers and heoric leader (no idea what this is) won't work.
