Here are the rules for Banzai War Cry
Banzai War Cry
Infantry may move 2 hexes to combat into Close Assault
My assumption was that I would be able to use the Close Assault card from 2 hexes away and launch an attack. However, when I clicked it, I was not able to move my units to attacking range. Is this an error or do I simply not understand how to use the maneuver? Thanks!

To use the Close Assault card your units have to already be in close assault. No movement is allowed.

yes, but if you look at the rules for the Japanese it says they can move two spaces... I'm just not sure if it is a bug or a confusion with the supplied rules

Official rule: Can this help you?
"Banzai!" The war cry preferred by Japanese soldiers during World War II as a mark of respect for the Emperor. A Japanese infantry unit can fight while moving two hexes, provided it comes into contact with an enemy unit to engage in close combat. Movement and combat restrictions related to terrain still apply. A Japanese infantry unit activated by the Infantry Assault card can move three hexes, but it will not be able to fight, even if it comes into contact with an enemy unit.

Yes, the Japanese can move 2 spaces and still battle in close assault. However, the text for the Close Assault card states that only those units that are already in close assault are activated and no movement is allowed. No bug, it is correct.

Yes, but when I selected the card it did not let me choose any of my Japanese soldiers that were two away, so I could not move them into battle range. OH, so what it means is that they can move AFTER the fighting?? Got it now!

No that is not correct, Japanese units can move 2 hexes next to a enemy unit and attack in close combat if terrain allows them to move 2 hexes they do not ignore terrain

I just want to say that I finally get it.
The card "close combat" and the action of close combat were confusing me.
Thanks for tolerating the stupid.
