Board Game Arena is proud to host a new game: Gear & Piston, a game from Jukka Höysniemi and that will be published by Ludicreations

Will be? Yes, because Gear & Piston is a crowdfunded game project that you can support through its kickstarter page. For the first time, you can try on BGA a game that does not exists yet, and then make it exists with Kickstarter. Needless to say that we are very proud to contribute to this adventure!

What about the game? It is 1888, and everywhere you turn, people are talking about the horseless carriage. You build an automobile prototype by patenting new parts, scavenging in the junk yard, and looking for opportunities to trip up your fellow automotive pioneers, all the while seeking to impress investors that are looking to get into car production. Gear & Piston is a simple, yet engaging 30-60 minute game for 2-6 players.

Gear & Piston has been developed by Pikiou with BGA Studio. This is the second game from Pikiou who also developed Quoridor: thank you Pikiou!

To start learning how to play, you can watch a very nice video on the Kickstarter project page, or read the rules.

A big "thank you" to Ludicreations for this adaptation!

Note: for those who successfully guess that Niagara is the next game on BGA, don't be worried, the canoes are a little bit late :)

EDIT: the game has been funded on Kickstarter! A big THANK YOU to all of you from the designer Jukka Höysniemi, from the publisher Ludicreations and from us!
