hi,

i am not moving up in my league despite winning games? how come?
is this a bug, or am i doing something wrong?

just won two games in a row and did not get any points, still at 0 points in the platinum league.

how do i move up, if not through winning games?

You are matched against opponents who are to far away from you league. Usually, you win 3 points if you play exclusively with players on the same league as you, 2 if the average level of opponents is one league away, 1 for 2 leagues away, and 0 if 3+ away.

You can restrict your opponent’s level in arena so that you at least gain 1 star per match. In the arena mode, open the game preference (the cog icon), then Show advanced options, then select « never want to play »...

I’m not sure if there is an official documentation about it, maybe in the early forum posts about arena.
With the new lobby being slowly implemented, it will probably change anyway.

Yes, it wouldn’t be fair otherwise. (In a 2p game) You get 4 points if you beat someone 1 league higher, 5 points if 2 leagues higher, etc…
