Why do players cancel a game after all players choosen?

I am new to starting real time games myself. I have restrictions set to players with 75% or above reputation.

I've noticed that often players will cancel a live game after all players are found pretty often before the game starts. For example, I just tried starting 7 games of Ticket to Ride in a row and all were declined. Each time it was a different player.

What reasons are there for this? I've done this before with low player reputation, however I have since learned about setting reputation higher and these were games where reputation is usually 100% for all players. Just wondering what peoples reasonings are.

Have you noticed whether anyone who’s been assigned/sat down at the table hasn’t “accepted” the game? I find players will cancel if they have to wait too long for someone to accept.

They may cancel if they don't like some of the other players in the table (maybe someone who joined later), or some of the settings (maybe they joined when there were 3 players, hoping the game would start with 4, but then a 5th player joined, and they don't want to play with 5), or because they realized it's too late and they don't have time to play...

In this case the tables being cancelled may be also simply because the player had another table starting. You can look for multiple tables but can only play on one real time table at the time.

thanks, that helps give different perspectives. It happens almost instantanously, so it doesn't seem to be bc someone is taking too long to accept. I was wondering if maybe the settings were different than what they wanted, and I know it took me a bit before noticing these were adjustable, such as not wanting to play with x amount of players or preferring a certain game setting.
