What happens when cards run out?

Post by plums0 »

Example: In a 5-player game, everyone starts with 3 cards, then the first player draws a card. That means there are only 2 cards left in the deck. What happens if that player swaps a pair or pork or shrimp? Do they only get 2 cards? Or is the swap disallowed?

What if there are cards in the discard pile? Are you allowed to use them if the other pile is empty?

If at any time the deck is empty, then the discard is shuffled and makes a new deck.

Yes, there are only 18 cards so it's extremely limited in 5-players and by the sounds of it close to impossible to play properly.
Isn't there a meat card where you get to draw 4 cards? What happens if after that, you don't play??

Is that from the rules somewhere? I couldn't find it. But it doesn't sound right because you could discard a Shrimp and get it back immediately!

But the box says specifically 2-5 players so presumably someone decided it was somehow sensible??

Shrimp gives you 4 cards. At the end of your turn you must discard so as to have only 3 cards in hand.

ok, you're right.
- If the deck runs out it is NOT reshuffled until you have cooked
guess you don't get to draw much then.
