The Tash Kalar "Side Chain" task is not clear

The text on it is the following:
"Squares on two opposite sides of the board are connected by a chain of your pieces."
The picture of the card shows the right and the left sides connected.
But, the top and the bottom sides are also "opposite sides of the board". Does that means that connecting top to bottom will acomplish the task?
