I would estimate that in 80% of games, there is clear and obvious multiaccount/team play. Stealing/blocking only other players, making unbalanced trades with each other... I have not seen this happen in other BGA games, and I'm pretty fed up with it. Until BGA decides to address this, I don't think I can play Catan here anymore. It's just not fun.

* and * are playing CATAN together as a team to gang up on the 3rd and the 4th player. They also trade to help each other win and only rob the other players until there is a clear advantage for one of the two to win.

BGA should address this else CATAN will not be playable because players are following all the malpractice to cheat.

Those are just a few of the examples. That behavior is widespread throughout the game.

I just had this happen to me against 2 Russian players. I ended t quitting the game and lost points andy reputation. Why are there always those who spoil something for everyone else?

It's become so common I'm surprised when I find a game where it doesn't happen.

This also happened to me and I completely agree with what everyone else has said. I was excited when this game came to BGA and had high hopes for it. Unfortunately, it truly is unplayable on this platform due to the reasons stated above. It's strange though, since I never had this problem when playing it elsewhere. I also suspect this is the primary reason for the game's popularity to drop significantly over the past few months.

I only assumed you were cheating because posts were made about you and game replays were provided as evidence of you doing so. However, I admittedly have not gone through the replays myself, I was just relying on information posted in the forums. If you are in fact not cheating, I do apologize for my message. But that does not seem to be the case here.

And now more accounts are messaging me asking if I'm cheating too lol. The most recent account hasn't played in 6 months yet somehow resurfaced to accuse me of cheating via private message. You even admit you haven't watched a single replay yet felt good enough about it to accuse me. You've been blocked, don't ever contact me again.

I went ahead and looked at some of the replays offered by *, and there is definitely evidence of cheating going on in the form of kingmaking. I understand BGA's stance on this, since it would be impossible for the BGA staff to look at every single replay for evidence of cheating. Instead, it is up to us users to red thumb these unsavory individuals so that they cannot continue to do this in the future. Unfortunately though, it will only be a matter of time before they get their reputation up again to continue the process. With the way things are currently set up, this will always continue to be a problem with this game and will significantly affect the game's popularity. It's really sad to see this, knowing how great a game Catan really is. I hope in the near future BGA will have grown enough to have the funds and staff needed to crack down harder on these cheaters.
