What happens if you make a tournament using the option "From the Front" when selecting scenario type? I don't want to bother people by opening a tournament just to find out, but I'm curious.

1) You can create a tournament, play around with settings, and make changes as much as you like. The final step is "open tournament to other players". So you're not bothering anyone with just trying. (also, don't forget to register yourself once you've done that)

2) to answer your question immediately: "from the front" is still an alpha feature, which means you can't create tournaments with it. (and you can find out yourself, by creating a tournament, try to select that map source, and then you see an error.)

Can you do a breakthrough tournament yet, or is that also Alpha?

Even if it's added, you wouldnt be able to fix one custom scenario for the whole tournament sadly, each table would launch the usual in game lobby

But you could make a "gentleman's accord" to play certain scenarios, right? So you could say "play scenario #XX in round 1 and scenario #YY in round 2. That's more or less how we've done it on M44Online anyways.

Yeah - but I'm pretty sure that if you could combine it with the standard BGA method of making tournaments (i.e. no need to also follow a thread in the forum) then it will be much more inviting to new players.

I tried to make a tournament with two rounds, first '1518-SugarLoafAndHalfMoon' and then 'Suomussalmi'. I was forced to choose from three sets, one scenario of each and there will probably be only one round. There are absolutely no instruction anywhere to be found. (I tried to ask the fellow partisipants, but none of them could not help either.)

I find using the trial and error method in launhing a tournament a bit 'funny'.
