Post by Marcus Aurelius »

The Challenge of February is now inactive.Players will play Terrans versus the automa of the month hadsch hallas.

If you are looking for a quick way to play Gaia Project on your own without any stress, armed of your cup of tea or coffee, this challenge was built for you. The goal is quite simple : get the highest score possible in solo mode. Thanks to the digital age, we can easily compare our scores with other players (same setup each month) and watch replays from the best. Start a good playlist and play serenely… No more timer pressure ! Read the “Rules” section for more details.

Image

18 players participated in the last challenge ! 4 people reached 200+, gg to them ! No surprise in January, the scores were tight.

Scores of the month : elite rank for the top 5 players and cadets for the others.

1st step: Create a new table. Select “training mode” on the Game Mode tab and “Fixed map” on the Game setup tab. Choose 1 player and click on “Start game”. Click on the red box automa of the month (hadsch hallas).
2nd step: Select the difficulty you think you can handle.
3rd step: Select the faction Terrans. Play the game.
4rd step: Post your score(s), mention the chosen difficulty (see the format below)

Hi Marcus Aurelius
Should the automa of the month be Hadsch Hallas, not Xenos, which was last week's automa of the week?
Thank you for organising the challenge. I'll have a go at checking replays; feel free to message me.
If the challenge should be HH, here's a game to set a target:
montybojangles 192 vs Automa 147 - https://boardgamearena.com/4/gaiaprojec ... =344238461 - PI, science and nav with late rush up gaiaforming. Very messy resource management!

rocky_road 180 vs Ultoma 175 – https://boardgamearena.com/4/gaiaprojec ... =344809941 – Science – Focused on the Research Lab booster and advanced tech. 2 Research Labs round 1. Resources were tight.

Heraklejski 224 vs Ultoma 175 - https://boardgamearena.com/4/gaiaprojec ... =345204459 - almost parallel advance on Navigation & Gaya. Got them both to level 5 in. No movement on other tracks.

224 is one of my best scores. And with Terrans, I'm amazed :D Have to mention, it was my third try.
I avoided playing with Terrans, cause I coudnt figure them out. Now they might become one of my favs. Thanks for the challenge

Great score Heraklejski! I like the unusual two-RL opening and adv. tech rocky_road, I would not have thought of that.

Cazi 206 vs Ultoma 175https://boardgamearena.com/9/gaiaprojec ... =345465350 – Economy (level 4), Navigation (level 4), Gaia (level 5).

Had 9 Gaia planets in the end: got 13+18 points in last round for 5th tier bonus and advanced tech on the Gaia research track. Also got 14 points for 7 sectors from the advanced tech and won the corresponding end-game objective. Formed all my 3 federations in last round for lots of extra points.

Tried some more:

rocky_road 210 vs Ultoma 175https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=345781451 – Gaia/Nav – Went for Academy round 1 and got a third tech using QIC. Next two rounds focused on setting up for Gaia Planets in round 4. Made 4 Federations in round 6. Definitely missed some points along the way.
