Question about Lucky Duke's ablity

So when I use it, I get two cards and I choose one, (lets say a beer and a panic). If I choose the beer, does the beer gets discarded first and then the panic on top on the discard pile or what?

The one you chose should be discarded on top as that is the card that is most recently played.
