Rigged gaming

Post by john0607 »

Have seen definite proof that the games can be rigged. I was 15th in the world and winning a majority of games. Not all, of course, as there is randomness in the dice but enough to get that high. Then I got moderated and my ELO drop to 50%. Since then I have won 2 out of about 15 games. My strategies haven't changed but the dice are suddenly working against me and in favour (in a big way) of my opponents. Clearly they have a algorithm that allows them to change the luck of the dice if someone does something they don't like.

And speaking of the dice, their (no cheating) dice algorithm is clearly faulty. This is clear is you play Yahtzee enough. The number of times you re-roll three or more dice and get the exact same number of the exact same dice is outside of real probability. The whole system needs to be fixed.

Claims like these are around these forums a lot. Time and time again proof for the claims is being asked. As far as I'm concerned, there has never been given any. Unless you can proven otherwise of course.

And how do you prove it? I can see with my own eyes what is happening but proof is impossible to provide.

What you’re seeing isn’t a fault, just how the dice are displayed in this implementation of Yahtzee

If you reroll 2,3,1 say then if those same numbers come up, no matter what order, the system displays them as 2,3,1 again (so even rolling 123 or 321 will still appear as 231)

This is just to make it clearer to players that the same numbers have come up, since exactly which dice they come up on doesn’t impact the game

It’s not a bug or a fault

Statistics go a long way. The statement 'suddenly I'm not winning anymore' surely isn't.

Yes. "Have seen definite proof" with my eyes but showing it to others is nearly impossible. If I wanted to take the time to do full statistically analysis, could prove it.

I personnally have seen definite proof that people are bad at seeing randomness and could make that kind of claim.

The dice rolling generator is definitely not truely random... i was playing lucky numbers (you roll 6 sets of 2 dice) and rolled 6 "6,6"... the odds of that happening are so miniscule....but i did it twice in one game... not random, no way
