The "random" number generator is terrible, never had a match with 7 rolling most.

Re: Rigged rolls!?
I literally just rage quitted a game due to horrible rolls.
My settlements was in good spots too. With numbers 6, 5 and 9. Only area I didn't have a settlement on was for rocks and I had a settlement on a tile with 3 fields with good numbers.
40 minutes of gameplay. I only was able to build two roads. I only got bricks once. In 40 minutes. I couldn't even build roads to get to a port for cheaper maritime trades.
This game is so disgusting with RNG sometime. I was absolutely raging that game so i had to leave. No game is fun when you can't do anything for 40 minutes while you watch others do stuff.

Re: Rigged rolls!?
Ok after other posters reviewed, I detract my previous statement about how biased that particular game was. They were right, I had a bias as things weren't going my way that clouded my judgement and gave me confirmation bias.
However, there is a cynical part of me that thinks that just as a casino or Tiktok's success is predicated on the dopamine release of winning, in order to balance the good players from the not so good players, they might be rigging some games...
Having said that, plenty of non premium folk who are high in the rankings? That would go against my above conspiracy...

Which is exactly why Catan (with only the base box) is really not a great game, IRL or online.Destaric wrote: ↑28 February 2023, 17:41 I literally just rage quitted a game due to horrible rolls.

If you can't handle that level I frustration (I personnaly can't), there are plenty other games on BGA where the luck factor is lower and where you can have a real strategy that won't be spoiled by some unlucky sequence of rolls.
Re: Rigged rolls!?
Here are the results of my last game of 99 rolls. Does this make sense? Look at the 10, 12, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9. All the numbers are completely skewed. There's a better way to play this game with dice that stick more closely to the stats.

Re: Rigged rolls!?
Also, note that the bga stats don’t show the number of rolls, just the percentage in game (along with the binomial distribution percentages). So that’s why all gams appear to have 99-101 rolls, it’s just the sum of the rounded percentages.
