This is such a great and underrated game!

From the rules:

"VARIANT
At the beginning of the game, advanced players
may spread the 36 pawns at random on any
square of the board (1 pawn per square)."

Question> Are there plans to implement this in the options (at least for real time games) or is that too much of a hassle for programing?

Hello, yes there is a variant with a fully random placement of the pawns but unfortunately we are not going to implant it on BGA. This will still a physical variant. To be honnest, this does not change much the possibilities. It just give a more agressive play on the first moves. Thank very much for your interest on our games. And thank you for your question.
