From skimming the rules, it seems like it should work fine as a turnbased game?

First of all: Thanks for your interest in the game!

I asked the BGA-responsible to make Raubbau "real-time only":
Raubbau is meant to be a quick but intense game (30 min) with heavy player interaction. Player interaction in Raubbau is based on "micro-decisions".
Due to the multitude of micro-decisions, some turn-based games of Raubbau took more than a month to finish, which annoyed players.

(Since the game is "real-time only", no one is playing it anymore.)

One month is still much shorter than some games I've currently got going.

Maybe a warning that realtime is recommended is better than forcing it to be RT only?

I asked the BGA-administrators to re-enable turn-based mode.
Almost no-one played it in real-time.
