The solo mode doesn't have the ai opponent. Is this planned in future updates?

No. The developer has stated that he or she only included solo play for ease of testing. It will be removed later on.

I founded it fun and relaxing challenge

I was really enjoying playing it solo, now it's not available and I'll likely never play it again. Sucks.

Any idea if solo is definitely not coming back or maybe if enough people want it?
