Passing Conventions

I've just been re-reading this post on BGG about a particular passing convention, and how it spun off into a dual discussion about conventions in general.

Just wonder what other experienced Tichu players thought about it - particularly that passing convention.

This seems pretty cool. Don't think it will displace the proper tournament passing conventions I've learned but I like this enough to try and work it into the bag of tricks.
