Victory points

Is it possible to know the victory points according to the options chosen ? ... Without having won the game of course ;)

If there is please let me know. Also I don't think it is necessarily more points for a higher difficulty as I have seen some exceptions to the rule. The only thing I do know is that you get a fixed percentage higher points for each additional player in the game.
