It would be helpful to have an option to only see confirmed moves from the opponent. Sometimes, seeing where they test out playing tiles gives a bit of information on how they are thinking/strategizing.

I agree. It would be a useful option to have!

What about making it work that way for both players? Not display what the board looks like until the move is made, preventing players from testing out moves with board support. Letting players do this can be an option for training mode, but otherwise not usable, which would match the idea of what an over the board experience would be like.

I disagree with this - if the opponent moved pieces OTB IRL, you would see them happen.

Also I think this is impossible due to how it's programmed - selecting and moving a piece advances the turn count so it's actually several "turns" between players
